In my Packaging and Display course, we were instructed with picking an existing product silhouette, and design a new label with our own made-up brand. I decided to do skincare serums, oils, and masks in the bottle belonging to the brand of "The Ordinary".
I decided to call my new brand "Fountain of U" as a way of emphasizing the enhancement of natural beauty rather than the focus of some other brands of "correcting" blemishes.
I wanted the primary goal of the product to be front and center on the bottle - not the brand name, not the ingredients, not the product type, but the purpose. I want consumers to be able to pick these bottles up from the shelf, knowing what the outcome will be.
I wanted to include a bright and electric color scheme to make the bottles pop out amongst competitors.
